THERE ARE THREE VERSIONS ON THIS PAGE
- 27,555 MHz Metric
- 26,555 MHz Metric
- 27,205 MHz Inch
For: 11 meter band
Antenna Type: 3el OWA YAGI
Designed by: HPSD version 1.01 March1998
Boom length: 3,00 Meter
Gain: 7,04 dBI (@27,555 Mhz)
FB >22 dB
FR >21 dB
Impedance: 50 ohms, direct fed
SWR below 1:1.1 > 300 Khz.
SWR below 2:1 > 1500 Khz
Above the freespace azimuth plot.
Above the freespace elevation plot.
Above the 2:1 SWR bandwidth
Above the elevation plot when the antenna is placed at 18 meters heigth above average ground conditions.
Above gain versus frequency.
Above front to rear versus frequency
ELEMENT DIAMETER
Each element is made out of tubing 25 and 22 mm tubing.
The 25 mm tubing is 3 meters long and is the center part of each element
(so 1,5 meter on both sides of the boom)
The 22mm sections goes inserted.
DO NOT CHANGE ELEMENT DIAMETERS OR INDIVIDUAL SECTION LENGTHS.
ELEMENT DISTANCES
Reflector – radiator : 1,30 Meter
Reflector – director 1 : 3,00 Meter
ELEMENT LENGTHS:
Reflector: 5,60 Meter
Radiator: 5,26 Meter
Director 1: 4,76 Meter
FEEDING THE ANTENNA:
The antenna has 50 ohms impedance. It can be “direct” fed.
All you need to do is split the radiating element in half,
isolate it from the boom and attach the coax on it.
Of course a RF choke / 1:1 balun is advised.
Any futher questions please feel free to mail !

THE 27,205 VERSION
For: 11 meter band
Antenna Type: 3el YAGI
Designed by: HPSD version 1.01 OCT 2014
Boom length: 3,00 Meter
Gain: 7,01 dBI (@27,205 Mhz)
FB >22 dB
FR >21 dB
Impedance: 50 ohms, direct fed
SWR below 1:1.1 > 300 Khz.
SWR below 2:1 > 2000 Khz
Above the freespace azimuth plot
Above the freespace elevation plot
Above the predicted SWR plot
Above the elevation plot generated when the antenna is placed at 18 meters heigth above average ground.
Above gain versus frequency
Above front to back versus frequency
Above front to rear versus frequency
ELEMENT DIAMETER
Each element is made out of “standard” MACO antenna tubing.
- The element diameters are: 5/8 and 1/2 inch .
- The 5/8 inch part is 1,8288 meters long and the 16 mm part makes up for the rest of the element. This is exactly the same as MACO uses.
DO NOT CHANGE ELEMENT DIAMETERS OR INDIVIDUAL SECTION LENGTHS.
ELEMENT DISTANCES
Reflector – radiator : 1,65 Meter
Reflector – director 1 : 3,00 Meter.
ELEMENT LENGTHS:
Reflector: 5,700 Meter
Radiator: 5,380 Meter
Director 1: 4,900 Meter
